    Hoover electronic 1100

Hate to say it but changing the motor bearings really is a waste of time when for a few more quid and less hastle you can just put on a new armature. As Gary says you will need a connection plug kit, as the connector for these logics is quite an unusual plug. The bad news is it will be a part...

    Hoover new wave

LEAVE THE PLASTIC ON THE GLASS! Hi Darren, The outer plastic on washer dryers is a safety requirement to protect children burning there fingers on the glass. During the dry cycle the glass becomes bloody hot!.

    Bosch Super Silence dishwasher

Hi Yes these new dishwasher motors are very quiet, have only seen one, remains to be seen how reliable they are. They make a different noise from the old capacitor style motors a interesting humming noise. hope you are enjoying it.

    Hoover new wave

Why do you want a new wave?, the start of hoover going down hill, those horrible plastic tubs. Each to there own I suppose. . ., there are still alot of them out there so you should get one soon.

    Hoover electronic 1100

Make friends with your local engineer if your using this old girl as your daily driver!. Keep in mind these machines were never quiet even in there day, most people just put up with the noise back in the day, I think we have all become soft since the 80's.

    Hotpoint 18580 gone bang.

Just had a thought that you may find the new motor has a different wiring connecttion box on it, there was a conversion kit available, cant really remember if this model is affected by this now but I remember that being a bit of a problem with these old motors.

    Haier Motor

Hi Liam Sorry just picked up your message about the motor bearings. I was actually taking about some of the real AEG washers where the motor bearings used to go, not the AEG made washers for the Zanussi machines. bertrum

    Hotpoint 18580 gone bang.

Hi you probably just need a set of carbon brushes. Dont fit the old ones if they are carcked! Part number: 1600474, fit genuine only. good luck

    Hoover electronic 1100

£65 pounds seems a really good price to me, with these machines I have never replaced the bearings. A new armature comes with new bearings. Probably a sod of a job to do as well requiring a bearing puller.

    Hoover electronic 1100

If your using it as your daily driver I can't see it lasting that long to be honest. How many washes do you do a week? Normally machines that are + 25years old need a serious service. But hey enjoy it while its there!, (Ive got one of these in the garage but only use it in emergencies or for...

    LG Steam Washer

Hi If the machine is switched off, the machine will not take in water therefore the only thing that could leak is the inlet valves, they can be faulty and fill when off, often can be cured by switching water pressure down. good luck

Zanussi bearings Hi Darren, When you come to do the bearings on the Zanussi WDT1085, just bear in mind you will need the drum cross piece as well as the bearing kit, 95 per cent of the time these are shot as well. You will need a new tub seal as well. If its any help: 50239964005 = drum cross...

    Haier Motor

hi hoover1100 With regard to noisy motors, I used to see some of the old AEG washing machines with worn bearings on the motor but I have never seen a motor running with a noisy armature. Only when the brushes are worn down to the armature do they get noisy, or if the armature is burnt out (it...

    Haier Motor

Hi Ariston4life, you may not want to hear this but you are barking up the wrong tree on this one. I have never replaced brushes to cure just a noisy motor fault, (and I have replaced thousands). When you notice brushes are noisy it means they are very low and the drum will not agitate. good...

    Haier Motor

hi ariston4life I normally always advise repair but this is a Haier!, the most rubbish machine on the market. Get a new one, pay more and get a decent machine.
