Hi Yes definatley a release emergency release cable on this machine. Remove the base plinth and on the left hand side you will see a red cable, pull it and the door will open. Its the emergency door release. good luck

STOP STOP STOP! Dont buy that new Zanussi, its rubbish in comparison to the old Zanussi (electrolux)! The new machine has a welded tub! the electro-mechanical timer on the old zanussi is bloody reliable compared to the new all electronic machine. Bearings on these are not a too bad job to do!

Yes Liam, I agree spin sped is very over rated. There are so many factors such as the size of the drum, the perforations in the drum and the length of time the machine spins at top speed, not to mention the drainage setup. As Im sure you are aware the giratory effect of the motor on the drum...

Great looking machine, dont know too much about the build quality. I just hope you and your man are happy with it and it gives you both years of fault free washing.

brilliant well done! How far away are you from being able to select different programmes/ spin speeds and temperatures. I wouldnt worry too much about having the led's showing, you just need to build a facia for it now!.

The reason manufacturers use magnet pumps is cause they are cheap as chips. Also magnetic pumps never leak as are totally self contained, they dont last that long and are noisy but cost rules. keep up the good work interested to see the final product.

Very shocked Miele have gone down the plastic tub route as well!. Very sad, I suppose even Miele are on the cost cutting slippery slope as well. Check your pockets or it could be a new machine is my advice!
