What makes me worried about this is that the seller says it has been serviced regulary but it has got a fault now and its for sale!. This makes me think the leak could be a majour fault eg, split tub, hence the sale. good luck to who ever buys it anyway, hopefully just the door seal!

Hi Malcolm, Yes Mieles and some of the Bosch washers do have a "high water option". Defeats the object of buying a "economic" machine to have 1980 wash levels,(although you may have clean clothes again)!

Hi Richard, Before you go ordering parts try removing the belt then run the machine on a spin. This will at least eliminate any drum problems and isolate the motor as being at fault. Keep in mind these motors are scratchy anyway.

This Arcelik unit really is nice looking, like most modern appliances.

I am 100 per cent sure its a Brandt. I dont think it has any type of out of balance load detection so I dont know why it would abort when adjitating, sorry. Going back to previous posts regarding the Bloomberg, I thought you may have had one of these: I believe this is the last Blomberg:

Hi SuperElectronic, No this machine is not a Blomberg or a Hotpoint, in fact this machine is made by Brandt and was sold exclusively to Comet. Dont get rid of it, I havn't seen one for years! Good basic machines.

Hi SuperElectronic, Remember Proline is just the name Comet put on machines to sell them. Proline has put its name to loads of manufactures including Hotpoint,Arcelik and Bloomberg!.
