I cook all vegetables in the microwave...just a spoonful of water with the vegetables in a covered dish and cook for 3-4 minutes. I also have a Pampered Chef rice cooker for the microwave which I use to cook all rice...works great and have perfect rice every time. Gary

That typewriter got a lot of use while I was in school and it never gave me any trouble. I think I may have changed the ribbon once.

I got the Sears version of the Smith Corona portable when I was in grade 9 in 1973. I used it all through high school for all of my essays, etc. I still have it but have not used it in at least 35 years. Gary

My kitchen appliances are all black and I love them. I've had them for almost 15 years and they still look brand new. Very easy to keep clean and don't show all the smudge marks that stainless shows. Gary

I have had the KA tilt head and bowl lift models, the Cuisinart and got rid of them all in favour of the Bosch Universal Plus. It is much quicker and thorough for mixing. I never made bread before I got the Bosch. Gary

I always fill the dispenser from the top but I have to pour the soap very slowly. It also helps to stick a straw in the hole to let air in while pouring. Gary

The Generac tests itself weekly on the day and time selected. It starts, runs for 5 minutes and then shuts down. If I want to test that it will supply electricity when the electricity goes out I just have to turn off the main switch on the electrical box that brings electricity into the house...
