The Case of the Missing Dip-It ... and a solution!

Eddie’s use of dishwasher detergent to clean a percolator will work very well. We grew up with melmac plastic dishes I think my mom thought it was the best thing with five boys. The cups used to get badly stained from tea so periodically, my mom would put all the cups in the sink fill it up...

Trouble repairing GE Potscrubber 940 dishwasher

Yay, glad you sorted out the timer problem, note the lower wash arm, and the other wash arms are powered by the water so once the dishwasher has pumped out the water, even if the main motor continues to run, none of the arms will move. John L

Best US DW available at the moment

Best inexpensive dishwasher Reply number 21 while I agree these inexpensive whirlpool and Amana dishwashers are very good deal for the money. They do not clean better or last longer than the high-end whirlpool product. Yes, I like the simplicity of them but they use very cheap wet motors like...

I'm sorry to ask this most basic question, but which gas range connector?

You can use either the stainless steel silver ones or the yellow painted connectors, nothing wrong with using the 48 inch one if there’s enough room for it to fold up neatly behind the stove and not cause problems with it fitting. John L

Just found a post on Reddit about a Whirlpool washer EXPLODING

I was working for a customer yesterday who has a three year-old pair of LG front load washer and dryer in their basement. The guy was very disappointed with the washer. He said he did a load in it when it was just out of warranty. He came downstairs and got cuts on his feet because he was in...

Question-Info-Opinions about Hotpoint TM0039 washing machine

As Brendan mentioned, it could be one of two different design machines in the first place, it’s sort of a vague complaint. It’s not a usual complaint on a GE top load washer there could be something wrong with it., The GE models with a transmission that did not have the dual action agitator were...

LOVE the center burner on this RCA range!!

Extra large element, RCA estate electric range There was a griddle that went with this, or you could also use it for a canner or very large pan, it’s common now for electric ranges to have 1 foot wide elements on the new glass top stoves again. John L
