Persil Wonder Wash - Short cycle detergent liquid - anyone tried/reviewed it?

I bought the odour defy and the non bio to try, originally they were only stocked in one supermarket in the UK, now all supermarkets carry the three variants and there has been a TV ad campaign. The non bio and colour care versions don’t have OBA’s, odour defy version does. There are only...

Ideas why Miele W1 might be tripping waterproof error?

The same thing happened with my W1 My W1 started showing the waterproof error when it was less than a year old. It would reset itself after a couple of days but I’d only be able to get a load and a half done before the fault showed again and the machine would abort the cycle. It wasn’t until...

    Splosh Detergent

The powder scoop is tiny. You only need 10ml for an average load in soft water ( half a scoop ) or a full scoop for a large or very dirty load.

    Splosh Detergent

I’m a big fan of Splosh products. The new powder and bio liquid have been improved greatly and out clean all the eco detergents I’ve tried over the the last few years. My little boy gets super messy at meal times and Splosh powder shifts pretty much anything, for really stubborn stains I use...

    Indesit W610G information? (UK Member)

It could indeed be a later model as you have the programme guide on the facia. The machine is still in remarkably condition either way. Indesits were prone to rusting badly.

    Indesit W610G information? (UK Member)

Hi there! That range of Indesit machines came out in 1987 and ran for just under two years. They had a colour change towards the end of the run and were available with a grey facia and door or all white. Indesit were renoun for having many obscure models as well as the core range. The obscures...

    Samsung QuickDrive

Quick Drive I was looking at the 10kg model in John Lewis last week. I really like the control panel , the wash times are reasonable as is the build quality. They’re pricey though at just under £1600 and they have that awful cat flap add wash door.

    1961 Duo-Matic Twin Tub

I’m assuming The LB515 had a 500spin and the LB616 had a 600 spin seein as the later LB520 has a 500 spin, the 420 was a 400spin and the LB820 was an 800spin machine. Thanks for posting that brochure Alan.

Detergents Update: What are you using?

I’ve been using Nellie’s laundry soda and the brightener for a good few months now. It’s wonderful stuff. Cleans great, gets rid of odours , rinses completely clear and leaves everything really soft.

Kevin I’m so sorry to hear about Terry. I can only imagine how hard the past few months have been for you. Counselling is an excellent idea and will certainly help you process what’s happened. It’s not a magic “fix all” by any means but it should have some benefit. I hope your first session...

Method concentrated laundry detergent Wild Lavender

Method UK Liquid has a different formula to the US and Australian version. Their formula is more concentrated as they get 66 washes , here we get 39 in the same size bottle. I tried the greenish coloured Method, the cleaning was ok but the scent was far too overpowering for me so I gave it to...

    Current detergents

Liamy1 Yes, I've seen the Seventh Generation stuff, its one of the few bio Eco detergents you can get. I've not tried it yet . The lavender one smells a bit too "hippieish" too me and the free and clear a bit chemically. MrAlex, I got the Zero Suds from Etsy as the price was quoted in £'s ...

    Dropps Laundry/Dishwasher Pods

Strictlybojack I've been interested in trying these Dropps for a while. I've been using Nellie's for the last few months and have been really impressed with its cleaning and rinsing abilities. The problem with ordering U.S. detergents is often the taxes and shipping costs. I've been lucky...
