Yes, I've seen the Seventh Generation stuff, its one of the few bio Eco detergents you can get. I've not tried it yet . The lavender one smells a bit too "hippieish" too me and the free and clear a bit chemically.

I got the Zero Suds from Etsy as the price was quoted in £'s . Turns out it was an American seller and by the time I'd paid shipping and taxes it was pretty expensive. I had spoken to Jon , the inventor and he's looking into a way to ship to the UK that's not too expensive.

Shipping detergents and other products to UK/Europe from USA

If it can be managed have always found those flat rate "priority mail" special boxes from USPS the best deal. Long as whatever contents can fit into the box rate is same regardless of weight. There might be restrictions for certain international destinations, am not sure.

France, Germany and other European countries offer a similar scheme and it can work out well for things like laundry products, linens, small appliances, parts, etc...

Of course the problem is finding laundry products whose packaging will fit into the various USPS or whatever flat rate boxes.

Along w/ Fabric Softener (if I can ever catch the Rinse Cycle--usually I don't!) and the even-more seldom-used bleach, here is my huge tub of Powder (w/ a refill-bag, that i'm planning to add/replace content with, as I'd done w/ four smaller bags I'd previously bought & blended in) that was the most economical and convenient, as I'd plopped it right in front of me onto the detergent aisle floor, while comparing it w/ the rest if the product... --And sometimes it will be the Liquid, bought on sale...

My Current Collection.

The Best performing powder for whites has to be Persil Non Bio. Aldi Almat Colour Liquid for Darks & i'm loving Lenor Deep Sea Minerals Fabric Conditioner.

I've been using Seventh Generation Eucalyptus and lavender and will stick to that now my local Tesco stock it. I use it for coloured clothing and find it gets stains out well. I like the fact it leaves no scent once dry. Woollen clothing I use Astonish delicate wash.

Here's the things I have in my laundry stash.. I can also say that Tide and Ariel pods are the same size

I've used up the powder Lidl detergent.. I didn't like it to be honest.. It had no scent and made everything feel a little rough

Hi all

I've just kept it simple, with the expense of moving house and paying off a holiday I thought I'd give ASDA powders a try,
£4 each for the 45 wash packs,washes great, smells lovely and fresh and I've found the shout spray does well with stubborn stains,I always soak tea towels and dish cloths no matter which brand I use,I'm actually considering sticking with this combination for a while, I may be reluctant to give up the comfort as it's my favourite fragrance so far, it's also lasted me a while as I only use half a capful!

PS: Did anyone notice Tesco won the Which Best Buy for their Bio Powder?

I didn’t know that Tesco was Best Buy.. I tend not to shop there but... in the name of detergent,, I might have to Lol

I love the fragrance of the fresh sky,not really into floral and fruity fragrances,I'm quite happy with the combo I'm using, and I'll be keeping shout in the collection too

I bought a box of the Tesco bio about a week ago against my better judgement but it's surpisingly good. For me, if someone asked `what does washing powder smell like'? Tesco bio would be the answer. It just smells like...err.... washing powder! A bit retro in a way?

It's surpisingly economical in use, rinses OK and is a great price. I gave it some gross stains the other day and it did no worse or better than Ariel or Persil. So far nothing not to like. Is it still McBride? If so they seem to have upped their game? As an aside I was surprised this summer to see that McBride also make store brand detergents for French supermarkets. I thought it was just a British thing.

Weirdly that Comfort intense blue you were discussing is one of a few I just can't abide. I don't know why. I want to like it but just can't!!

Tesco

Tesco Bio Tablets are made by Persan of Spain, and seem to clean okay.

I can't comment about the bio powder, because my local Tesco doesn't sell it any more! They're forever fiddling with their bloody displays - taking things off, never to be seen again.

Comfort

I can't stand it either, the smell is too strong and too 'female oriented' - I think.

Has Procter and Gamble reduced their pack sizes again? I'll swear the '10 wash' pack of Ariel was even smaller when I saw it the other day in Tesco, at 650g.
