    Ford Countour..Good or bad

Wow who knew so many people had this car. I too have a '99 Mercury Mystique, which I purchased new and which, by the way, does NOT have a timing belt. Mine is a 4 cylinder manual. I have 76,000 miles and it has been a wonderful car. It's had brakes, tires, battery and a new radio (CD player quit...

    "What has Dyson invented now?"

I wish manufacturers would just admit that bagless vacuums are a dismal failure (unless of course it's a Rainbow) and move on.

    "What has Dyson invented now?"

I don't think it's a washing machine, as they already tried and failed on that front, and it says its a new product for Dyson. Unless they're thinking its appearance was so short they're hoping no one will remember.

The Fight To Make Clothes Lines Legal!

Anyone thinks clean clothes on a line are unsightly or lower property values and silly things like that are seriously deranged people who should be hanging their own laundry because clearly they don't have enough to do.

    how do you make coffee?

Actually Louis when I noticed it came from your part of the world, the much better quality as compared to most coffeemakers of this type was far less a surprise to me. This is one I would strongly consider if I wanted this type of unit. I just can't make up my mind if I like the square or round...

    how do you make coffee?

Well, I went and read about the "Tecnivorm". It has a copper heating element, is high power, and has a 9 outlet spray over the coffee, like a Bunn. Expensive, but certainly sounds like one of the better renditions of automatic machines, fun styling and all. Does that top part where I assume the...

    how do you make coffee?

Frig/Suds: those are attractive units. Frig you mentioned that the coffee was good and "free of bitterness". Do they use a special process as compared to similar automatic units?

    Users of Butter Flavored Crisco....

Permanently incapacitated? What happened? Did a miss a news report somewhere over time?

    HOH?

That is most definitely a HOH dryer, probably from the late 60s.

Kenwood Standing Mixer w/ Induction Cooking

DJ, I typed it into Amazon and it came up with a Cuisinart mixer and a lot of accessories that fit all of them. So my guess is when Cuisinart started offering stand mixers they may have stopped selling under DeLonghi. They are also sold as "Viking" and "Hamilton Beach" here, although I don't...

Kenwood Standing Mixer w/ Induction Cooking

I thought Kenwood was gone...I guess they still live on at least overseas! You used to be able to find them, then I saw them sold under "DeLonghi" and now "Cuisinart". Does anyone know if Kenwood-badged units are sold at all in the US today?

    how do you make coffee?

Panthera, I wonder if it is the amount of coffee in the percolator--I like my coffee quite strong (far stronger than many people from what I've seen) and for me one of the reasons I've never cared for those automatic coffeemakers is the coffee always seems watered down and weak to me. The "Bunn"...

Does anyone have a laundry chute?

My parents last house, built in 1998 they bought in 2000 (so they must still be allowed some places) where my dad still lives, has one, a nice wide one. Maybe that's so small children can't get caught? It's in the hall between the bedrooms and right by the main bath. Our first house also had...

    Apex washer for sale....

Makes a noise when filling so I bought a new one? Where oh where do they find these people? Looks like the Apex might be a wringer, judging by the ad they have in their ad.
