Inverters in our home... We have 2x Panasonic split inverter air conditioners both 10+ years old now. Hoover 12kg inverter front load washing machine, Samsung fridge and Panasonic Genius microwave. The Panasonic microwave is the best ever...I would never buy a non inverter microwave every again.

Today I was perusing the detergent isle at our local IGA, lo and behold.. something new Persil Mixed Colour at the same price as OMO ... $12. It's made by Unilever Australia and marketed in AU as OMO & PERSIL in NZ. Smells nice but foams a lot in the Hoover front loader!

Kitchen fun... We started off with Harvey Norman "developers pack" F & P single dishdrawer, 4 burner gas cooktop and under bench electric oven all stainless steel. Replaced all over time, now have Whirlpool 5 burner 75cm gas cooktop, Whirpool 6th Sense pyrolitic oven and new F & P dishdrawer...

Somat I would love to get the powder (Dishdrawer) and won't use capsules. As far as I know Aust doesn't have too many areas with hard water, salt is a rarity. It is available from Miele or Electrolux.

Rinso & Malleys Rinso was excellent.. made by Unilever in Sydney. It had the BEST scent too. My Nan used Rinso in her twin tub on boil ... memories. Malleys went on to become Malleys Whirlpool.... Dame Edna did the adverts in '70s.... the catch cry "Guess whos mum has a Whirlpool!

Hoover 5xx series They were the best machines produced at the time. Big, strong and not too noisy my mum had simular model for over 15 yrs. The dearbox failed and she went for a GE fllter flo that rusted out in 8 yrd. The Hoover was excellent. U could even suds save using a big enough tub.

Sugar Coke In Aust we still have real sugar Coke even post mix crap is sugar. It is SO much nicer than the American Coke! The sickly sweet tate of USA Coke is not pleasant.
