I've always wondered just how many sales were generated by this advertisement. Firstly, $25 doesn't seem like much of an incentive even going back to the 1979 economy. Secondly, this coupon only applies to the A308 model, so I wonder how much this ad served more as a modified 'bait and switch' scheme than a simple sales incentive - figuring it might get a buyer in the door, but the dealer might be willing to give his own $25 discount on a higher priced model and let the buyer forego the coupon.
