I've searched online to no avail in search of a new element for my dryer. Does anyone have any suggestions or are willing to sell one to me? Model # DEC-5.
Actually, you can use a Kenmore/Whirlpool element if you slightly modify it. It works quite well and is fairly easy to do. That is what I have always done. Even when they were available, they were much more expensive than the Kenmore/Whirlpool ones.
Thank you for the responses -- I was worried I'd have to scrap the dryer. Good to know I can sub a Sears/Whirlpool part if necessary. I'll take the dryer apart this weekend and report back a part number.
