This belonged to my mother, and is heavy cast aluminum. Works well, gasket seals and vent works normally. Just thought I'd post here and see if anyone is interested... seems too nice to go to Goodwill. Have rack for inside, and owners manual.. will post pictures.

Interesting pressure regulator which is the source of the "scale-o-matic" term.  This would be a fun cooker to use, and I really like the sealing knob system instead of a twisting/locking lid.  I wonder how this thing sounds during operation.  It would be fun to watch the pressure lever jiggling up and down.  I can't be sure if there's any safety valve, though, and that's a concern.

Jon Charles posted about acquiring some of these a while back.  They use an interesting way to cook in that you set the pressure to some high setting based on the food being cooked and when that setting is reached, then you shut off the heat.
