Hmmm. I had something very similar, if not the same model, in a rental flat in Berkeley in the 80's. It worked well enough, but the pushbuttons were impossible to keep clean - although they did seem to work even when sticky. Part of the problem was my preference for gas, but I have to admit I was able to prepare a very nice slow-cooked sauteed fish for some guests once, and it did just fine with a Thanksgiving turkey dinner another time.

Re: GE Electric Stove:

There is one of these GE Electric Stoves just like this one in the Craigslist Ad, around the Block from where I live, that has a "Free" Sign on it. I don't know if there is anything wrong with it, or if the Neighbor's are just updating the Stove!!! I don't have any room to store any more Appliances at this time. and I will let you know where this Stove is. It just went out onto the Driveway over the Weekend and it was still there on Monday Evening, when I was returning from being out earlier in the Evening. This was approx 10:00pm so I'm sure it might be there at least a couple/few more Days, but if anyone is interested, you better hurry just in case.

The GE 40-inch Electric Stove that I wrote about that is just like the one in the Craigslist Ad For Sale, is still on the Driveway at the place around the corner from where I live.

I was really hopeing that one of the other Guys that live here in Sacramento would show some interest in at least checking it out and hopefully saving it from going to the Krusher...
