Here is a groovy looking retro Pye fan on ebay, note the groovy yellow blades.

Another from the past
Pye: fans, electric jugs, electric kettles, vacuums, portable heaters....another icon in Australia gone forever. I remember the products well, unfortunately with this fan someone has painted the blades. The original finish was the same as the base and the outer edge of the PYE badge. These fans were in every office and small town depatment stores in their day.

Hi Simpsomatic, so the blades were actually meant to be the same grey colour as the body?,and yes I also remember Pye products pretty well, do you remember the Pye cleaning buggy vacuum cleaner? the t.v. ads were done by Bob and Dolly Dyer,
I think the slogan was "You can rely on Pye".

That looks familiar
That looks rather like a softbag version of our Electrolux 152/160/170 which was hard bag only. Would have been of the same sort of vintage too. I have also seen one in USA (possibly a Kenmore) which seems to shafe similar design charactoristics

Cool looking fan--I remember "Pye" broadcast equipment.Continental Electronics was a dealer for them in the US.
