This nice whirlpool dryer is at Grays Appliance in Melrose Mass if anyone would like it. I dont think they want much they sold an old Maytag dryer to a member not long ago.Ask for Brian.

I can't get over how there is no lint behind the drum. I can't imagine that this place went to the bother of taking it apart to remove the lint. Maybe it was hardly used. It was a pretty inefficient dryer design in that it allowed some of the heated air to pass behind the drum and go directly to the exhaust instead of forcing it to go through the load.

My Grandmother had a slightly newer version of this dryer. It lived in the garage and she line dried except in the dead of winter, so I don't remember it as well as the washer. I do remember it had the push button to open the door, which I thought was really cool. I think hers was newer because the button had the whole logo, not just the "W". In fact, I'm sure it was the RCA-Whirlpool logo with the 'swirley' over the W.
