I have a Youngstown 1950s dishwasher. It is in fairly good condition. It has some rust on lower sides and back side but not bad. I am missing the dish racks, but the unit is in working condition. I live in Calfornia and I am looking to sell so make me an offer.

Oh my... If I were closer, I'd be seriously looking at this! I have one with racks, but my pump is in VERY bad shape...

Actually you could watch the APEX operate also. Window lids were available in both the portable and builtin versions of the Apex. The water coming out of the 4 holes in the top of the Jet Tower obscured much of the performance in the Youngstown.

Tom, do you know what year Youngstown machines went into production and what year they stopped using a lid with the viewing port??

We had a POD ad dated 1951 celebrating the first anniversary of the machine so I would guess late 49 or 1950. I don't know when the window lid option disappeared, but the machine went to a front loader by the mid-late or late-mid 50s.
