I'm finally raising up the ol' yellow Westinghouse I've had sittin' around for years. It's among the living again.
Does anyone have a pump seal for that, or do you think I should be calling parma ohio about this. The pump comes right apart as if it were new so replacing the seal will be a piece of cake, if I can just get one.
One of the motor mounting brackets was a little bent and the shaft rubbed the tank on the first run,,,kinda loudly, and the pump peed, but it went on about it's business - in the basement near the floor drain.
Also, I notice that the timer was replaced in late '68 and that it requires a longer throw than my original knob can actuate...so you have to reach down and turn it by hand rather than advancing it by turning the knob. Does this make any sense to anyone?
My poor old 1.5 megapixel camera is in a semi-coma too..but I'll do what I can to get photos today of both the Maytag Dutch oven and also the Westinghouse dishwasher...both of which are upside down and inside out right now - at their scariest - and not for the faint of heart. So be prepared!~
