I'm finally raising up the ol' yellow Westinghouse I've had sittin' around for years. It's among the living again.
Does anyone have a pump seal for that, or do you think I should be calling parma ohio about this. The pump comes right apart as if it were new so replacing the seal will be a piece of cake, if I can just get one.

One of the motor mounting brackets was a little bent and the shaft rubbed the tank on the first run,,,kinda loudly, and the pump peed, but it went on about it's business - in the basement near the floor drain.

Also, I notice that the timer was replaced in late '68 and that it requires a longer throw than my original knob can actuate...so you have to reach down and turn it by hand rather than advancing it by turning the knob. Does this make any sense to anyone?

My poor old 1.5 megapixel camera is in a semi-coma too..but I'll do what I can to get photos today of both the Maytag Dutch oven and also the Westinghouse dishwasher...both of which are upside down and inside out right now - at their scariest - and not for the faint of heart. So be prepared!~

Holla from Hollywood.

this year's line-up still a work in progress

Of course, waking this machine out of it's coma meant moving every other machine in the collection down. All of this re-leveling and installing takes time but soon I should have some photos with them all done. Here's how it's going today.

I remember this machine when we were at your former house for the convention - what a dreamy dishwasher!

The drain pump seal? You might try larry but if not, I'm sure you'll be able to rig a modern drain pump into that outlet - a trip the hardware store!

Good looking set-up, Bob, it looks like you're top-loader free!

Good for you & ABOUT TIME

I remember seeing pic's of your dishwasher & admired the pull out style. I grew up with a pull out Mobile Maid. Hope you get this dishwasher up & running. It would be my every day dishwasher. Best of luck . Mike

Pull Out Mobile Maid?!

Good Heavens; How far does a pull out have to pull out to qualify as a Mobile Maid? Just funnin' ya Mike. I know what you mean. Mobile maids were little more than the pull out tank with a different lid and wheels. No insulation except in the lid. Happy New Year. Tom
