That bump on the back wall of the deep well is a thermostat. To deep fry, the shortening was put in the pan and the switch set to HIGH. When one light for the deep well went out, the heat was switched to Medium Hi and the single element in the Radiantube cycled to keep the fat at the proper temperature. That large chrome escutcheon in the middle on the front had a miserable design of little square hob nail things sticking up with grooves around them. Nothing but a grease and dirt catcher. Needs constant cleaning with a toothbrush & spray cleaner and you have to hold a towel beneath it so that the stuff does not run down inside the oven door openings. Sherwood Green actually has more yellow in it, but often shows up with more blue in it in some lighting and photo conditions. At least Sherwood Green is not as yellow as Frigidaire's yellow is green.
