Spiralator Licious

Can't wait to see that new and improved Easy!!! That machine as I remember runs so beautifully and now it is all restored!! Yay.

You all will undoubtedly roll your eyes at me with a "DUH!" but what is the purpose of the cage at the top of the tub? To me it just looks like it was destined to catch buttons, zippers, etc of anything that got within reach.

Actuellement,

Celui-la n'est pas un pissoir (regarding the pee stream up the thread).

It is exactly like the stream from the fill faucet on the Spindrier. Maybe Cecil B. will show us a shot of the Easy Spin filling and edit the streams side by each.

Jon, was this, 1956, the first year for the Easy Automatic?

Great job Jon, it looks brand new! That is a real beauty of an Easy!

The earlier model had a toggle switch for hot/warm temps, but I think the cycle layout was the same.
.
And is that pee-stream fill for real? It keeps up with the timer?
.
Kinda like the massive paddles on the Norge, there is no escaping the Spiralator in that tub!

Yes Peter

the pee stream is for real, it is a copper hose bent to a drip pan and it is aimed right at the Spiralator. There was no sign of any attachment that might have fallen off in history so I am thinking it was designed just like the Spin Drier like Mikey pointed out.
And even the lime scale build up on the drip pan was in the shape just where the water flows today.

So I am gonna stick my neck out and say the pee stream is factory.

As I remember, Gibson (which at that time, made refrigerators. freezers, A/C's, dishwashers & ranges) was also acquired by the Hupp Corporation, only to be acquired by WCI, which eliminated the "Easy" brand name, and went with "Gibson" for laundry appliances..
