I don't want to give up with pink laundromat set.
But the washer is no longer draining.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get a new pump or a new "old stock" water pump.
I need help in saving this set. :))

Beautiful Set!...first try taking the pump cover and make sure nothing is stuck inside of it..you might find some change or socks!. Next, make sure the impeller is in an 'X' shape, if it is bent, that would affect pump output. Also check that the pump itself turns freely and is not seized. If you are not hearing the soothing 'BANG!' of the pump solenoid, check that it is engaging and the spring that pulls the pump drive wheel to the motor is still hooked up..Experts please chime in, are all slant-front pumps the same?

Beautiful!

Or you can just convert it to an electric drain pump!  That's what I'm planning to do with mine.

A GE electric pump harvested from an old machine gave life to my Kelvinator.
Maybe you will find some parts house with some obscure and dusty shelves of NOS. But, the people who answer the phone will need to be old.

I was in Fox's Agusta,Ga. Warehouse many years ago and there were shelves full of old Laundromat parts------ but they were not in their computer system.
So you had to talk to the owner to find out if there was anything.

Water pump for an old Westinghouse slant front from the 50s

The water pumps for All Westinghouse front load washers from 1948 through 1988 for pretty much the same.

These are still readily available if you do a little hunting and they are very repairable and you can repair of the defect that’s causing it not to pump, as Jerry suggested sometimes it’s not the pump at all it’s a wire off the solenoid a bad solenoid a bad linkage etc. etc. some investigation should be done to figure out what’s really needed let us know what you find out Dave

If it is of any help, the pump on a '50 Westy Laundromat that I once owned seemed to 'quit' on me, but the impeller was no longer attached to the drive shaft. I was able to repair it with JB Weld

You Guys are Awesome!

I'm totally useless when it comes to technical things like this.
I don't suppose any of you live in or near Fort Myers Florida?
Or want a get away weekend! lol
The washing machine is also leaking in the wash cycle.
It doesn't leak though if the washer isn't running with water in it.

So I moved to Florida from Pittsburgh!!

That's where I got my PINK GE Fridge.
and brought it with me. So are you handy when it comes to working on Washing machines.

My Boot

So Mark, I put an add up here for the boot and some guy found one on a warehouse shelf for like $500 I paid it because I knew how rare it was.
But now I need the pump and the washing machine is starting to leak while the clothes are washing. Not sure what could be causing that.
I just wish there was an old expert repairman sitting in building somewhere waiting for his rotary phone to ring and it would be me on the other end asking for his services. He would show up wearing his Maytag uniform and fix it for me! ;) lol
