Timer does not work so best suited for occassional use. (After week or two of continuous use refrigerator section freezes.)

Very cool to look at and works well when not used continuously.

Can it be fixed?

That is one beautiful refrigerator. Out of curiosity, is that problem with the thermostat fixable? Is it an easy fix or does it require some impossible to find part? Always wondering if certain of these things might be possible while others are just not worth the grief.

The refrigeration section that freezes, I'm not sure about what they mean... If food gets too cold, it could be from long-running periods and maybe the freezer isn't cold enough... If the cold plate (that's completely hidden behind the refrigerator liner in this model) ices up, it could also be from long running times... I have the 1961 version of this fridge which had it's compressor replaced in the past (by a Tecumseh 1/5 HP, less powerful than the original 7/32) and it's been connected and running fine since I got it a few years ago. But according to a few Frigidaire serviceman I talked to, the 1962 and older bottom-freezer models did have more issues than the later models which had air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator like the top freezer Frost-Proof models already had.
