This is the first good view Ive ever gotten of the freezer section in one of these. Made me think of my recent thread concerning side-by-side refrigerators.
There was comment about the comparable loss of cold between SxS, top freezer, bottom freezer. And how a bottom freezer with a tub would hold more cold compared to those with just a wire basket. I can see how all the cold would come pouring out when opening this one.
Long before this site and before I got into vintage appliances someone I worked with mentioned she had to get a new fridge because her old one had stopped cooling. It had come with the purchase of her house. She went on to describe how the old one was a top fridge bottom freezer. But then said there was a counter/work top in between and how much she liked it. I couldn't really picture what she was describing and it never occurred to me to go look at it. I could have gotten it for nothing. Of course it didn't work but I would probably have still taken it when I saw how unique it was.
