1960's Lady Kenmore set NIB

Well Mr./Ms. seller:
~There's even a mystery bag. A brown paper bag, stapled shut, and I have no idea what's in it. I'm not opening it till the day I sell these.

THE BAG IS FULL OF CASH! AND LOTS OF IT....Don't we all WISH!

So out of curiosity, what machines were being used that were intended to be replaced? I have heard a few stories of really tight men....er make that CHEAP men..that did not allow a W or D in their own home. (UHHHM you are spending MORE at the laundromat and paying for someone else's utlity bills,rent, overhead, salary, maintenance, etc.)

Woman buys a new washer and dryer, hubby won't hook them up to teach her a lesson. Nevermind they sat sitting in the basment bought and paid for gathering dust for years, her indoors must learn who wears the pants in the family.

Great story and wish you the best with the sale/auction. Someone will surely nab this set and give it the loving use they deserve.

that electronic sensor strip you see in that turquoise Lady K dryer, is actually 1 of 3 sets of sensor strips in the dryer drum. very effective electronic sensors.

LK dryer newer than '67

We had '67 LK dryer just like the white pictured.Except it had the 3 black sensors.The one pictured has the 1 rear wall mounted,makin' me think it's newer than '67.?????

the white Lady K pictured is a 66. it most likely has the electronic sensors on the drum as the turquoise 65 lady K dryer does.

yes, your right. I see it now. thats the other sensor panel I think is a great preformer. it is newer than the 3 strip sensors in the drum like mine has.

Wow! Pictures And Videos.

This wins my vote for the Thread of 2007.

Gorgeous Kenmores. My neighbor across the street had a dryer that just about matched that washer, except hers may have been a model 70. It had the small size hamper door.

The dryer looks familliar. It was that LK dryer that was in the Keaton's back vestibule on the comedy series Family Ties (Seasons 2-end of show).

Hopefully somebody snatches them up quick, and puts them to use!

In my personal opinion, they're worth what you listed them for (perhaps a bit less), but I find it odd that they're not getting any bids. Someone's who lives in or near the Northeast is bound to want and have room for a never-used 60's Kenmore set...

Phil - I sent you an eBay email last night asking if you would sell only the Dryer. I realize you've listed them as a set but do not have room for both the Washer and the Dryer- thus my question. As Westy mentioned they are collectible but imho wouldn't expect to get say like $1000 for them (it could happen, depends on the buyer, won't be me though). Shipping will be expensive, probably $400+ each (I've shipped an appliance using Creighters & Freighters).
If you would rather wait for someone to buy them as a set I understand, so am looking forward to your reply. Thanks, Robert
