One of my fellow Mid Century Modern compadres forwarded me this home sale link today. FABULOUS 1966 home. BIG. Mostly untouched inside and out. I have a feeling the current occupant probably collects MCM furnishings--there's really not much new stuff in there. Yeah…that IS lavender carpet in there with the blue velvet sofas. Oy.
Though I like the bones of the place and the architecture overall, most of what's in there is on the scary side (I'd probably keep the the wrought iron grillwork and Chrome fireplace, chrome tables and chairs and mod chandelier…but not much else). Those wall murals are probably original to the build--kitchen is pretty much untouched save for the 90s KA Architect DW and the 80s fridge. At least they kept the GE wall ovens!
Oh…the wallpaper on the ceiling….that probably happened with the 80s as well
Anyway, there are 58 pics. Not a horrendous price considering the uniqueness, square footage and low taxes for this state…
