It's like being in the desert and seeing a mirage, it's too good to be true, they look like they just came out of the box.

Bob with a set like that......

You don't need one cigarette - you need a carton! I don't even smoke but I could be tempted to take it up if I had that set - would have to have a few after every load of laundry! Those are pristine - they're beautiful!

lighted...dial

they sure look like they could be lighted (the console has a slightly blue-ish cast to it, unlike some that are just pure white, but that could be the lighting from the picture?), I didn't think WP used that control dial set-up so long in production - is the same dial as our '62 dryer. Would look LOVELY in our laundry room. If money were no issue right now (sigh) would pair that washer up with our pink dryer. The walls are already sunny yellow :). $500 seems high, but then again the set looks rust free, wouldn't require $$$ refinishing (thinking of Rickr's hard work on a KM washer he has). Maybe a local member can sweet talk them to go a little lower!

MAJOR contgrats Todd!

Those machines are so neat - I am glad someone saved them and that a good club member will have them to enjoy and for us to enjoy too, LOL.

Can't wait to hear how you're enjoying them....

"Congratulations, I too cannot wait to see some bigger p

I dunno, we're still waiting to see pics of the last several machines he got. For cripes sake Todd, go buy a digital camera! It's the 21st century. Oh, and happy belated birthday!

OK Todd, one of these days I'm going to round up a member or two and we're going to come up and see these beauties in person!

I know, I know, I need to enter the 21st century and get a digital camera! The 1966 Whirlpool beauties arrived safely and have already washed a few loads! They are absolutely beautiful and are in pristine shape. They were the original machines from a custom home in Eugene, OR that was built in 1966. They were inside all these years and not a speck of rust anywhere! Am slowly setting up my machines and will get pics of all of them soon. Hope to have a wash-in this year some time and would love to invite everyone to the Redwood Empire to do some laundry!

Eugene wasn't a bad drive for you at all, and well worth it! These machines ended up in the proper hands!

I do hope I can attend your wash-in when the time comes.
