We have a lovely old world pool Imperial 70 dryer that we bought off a Facebook marketplace for 25 bucks about 6 years ago. We've replaced fuses and just recently the thermostat control. However this time when we restarted it the dryer gets warm but not hot so the clothes take forever to dry. The online research talks more about having no heat I've been no heat and solutions like cleaning out lint and hoses, neither of which are the issue. Any thoughts?

Weak high limit thermostat would be my guess. High limit thermostats can get weak with time which will allow it to heat up but not to it’s full potential since it won’t get to a 120F even on the lowest setting.
