I second what John said. It’s working great. I have a 2017 model and that is what mine sounds like. I’ve been working it decently hard (1-2 loads a day) for 5 years straight and it sounded like that from day 1 and still sounds that way on day 1,800. Nice machine!
That’s quite a racket! Glad I have the SQ TR5003 which is located on a main floor laundry room. My old school Maytag top load made quite a racket as well. I can now do laundry anytime of the day without the disturbing noise ruining the vibe in the home.
The machine is level. The tub may skew like that during agitation, some specimens exhibit the phenomenon more than others. SQ doesn't consider it to be a problem.
I hear a slight vibration in the cabinet but otherwise the machine sounds normal to me.
I'm not sure why people think these washers are noisy. I'd take the splash and hum of this machine over the clicks, clacks, snaps, pops, and dying reversing motor of a modern VMW any day.
The "noise" from a vintage TL Maytag washer IS the vibe..
Personally, I prefer to hear the appliances, boiler, circulator pumps and such running in the house. If there is a problem I can tell right away if something doesn't sound right.
I'd rather hear the noises of the Speed Queen Laundry washer running with motor hums, transmission whirring, and water splashing. It sets the vibe to me.
