I wasn't sure. The only 36-inch range I've ever been around was my grandmother's gas range when she lived in East Point, GA, and she moved from there in 1968, so it's been a while, LOL.
In GE's ads for their 24" ranges, they sometimes had a line drawing at the bottom suggesting how efficient TWO 24" ranges were for a large family or medium-sized residence kitchen since it offered, in just 48" of space, 8 surface units and two 21" wide ovens.
On the above-pictured 36" range you can see how GE used the light canopy/button plate from the 24" range instead of running the light full width.
