50's Chrome built in oven/ cooktop - Kokomo, Indiana

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I believe that the stove top is much newer than the 50’s based upon the raised edge of the cooktop, and the knobs. But the knobs look like after market replacement by Lux or Range Kleen. The oven is defiantly from the 50’s. Neither are chrome, but rather SS.

The washer is the Amana sister ship to my Roper.

I should've known the cooktop doesn't match. The odd counter around it is a dead giveaway. The original must've been tall enough to make up the at least 6" difference in cabinet height.

The oven is a Suburban, made in Chattanoogan, TN. The ad does not state whether oven is gas or electric, and Suburban made both. Hard to say what brand newer electric cooktop is. Regardless, the setup is awkward looking, with that butcher block countertop sticking out at the side. It appears that the space to the right is for a refrigerator. I think this may be a second kitchen in a basement, especially with the washer sitting there.
