As many of you are starting your Labour Day weekend celebrations last weekend we had our final Bank Holiday of the year !! So the gang got together and celebrated with Manchester for Pride 2019,
remembering 50yrs anniversary of Stonewall and 50yrs birthday of our recent renovation, The Hoover Keymatic 3203 !!

Mikeys kindly bought it along to taste and is in charge of the pour, a local cider from Oh The Hills in Welsh Wales !! Called "Rosies Wicked Wasp" doesn't taste alcoholic, lovely apply juice taste,
its farmed on LLandegla Moors where we used to go as kids walking and later my cousin who now re-sprays the washers used to take us in his Ford Escort RS Turbo spinning wheels on the dirt tracks !!

Next morning and the fridges are fully stocked ...the modern Miele in the kitchen and the 50yr old purple Hotpoint in the washroom for the booze, theres also an under counter fridge for drinks as well, Temperance Weekend it was not !!

The AEG 70`s coffee maker drip style filter was switched on along with the Russell Hobbs side eject toaster and matching cups and saucers where ready..

Then its ready to use the Vintage Kenwood 1960`s dishwasher with rotor spinning tube to wash all the dishes, now its great that Mark and Richard love vintage dishwashers as much as the washers so its never a case of "Whose Turn Is It" to fill the beauties !!

It was a glorious Bank Holiday weekend for the weather, unheard of for dear old Blighty, 28d and hot sun, so up went the gazebo and sun brollies to protect the ever delicate Brit skin...

Jon had bought a Hoover New Wave, collected up north by Richard, this was the last big series change produced by Hoover in the 90`s, everything was thought through and new, bigger drum, polycarbonate outer drum, spray action,
spin washing where the drum spins with wash water forcing the hot soapy water through the clothes..BUT they did have a tendency to mellow yellow whatever was white...

Alistair had bought a beautiful Zanussi Z118T washing machine from Richard (Bunty) who was having a downsize, 80`s made, 400 / 800 spin speeds, SS inner drum, Vitreous enamel outer, Hot & Cold Fill, lovely grey fascia,

I`d brought along the Fisholow 1966 tumble dryer that I had collected few weeks ago that was offered on here by Mark Frampton ( see thread), it was his mothers bought to dry his nappies at the time,
lovely dryer, serviced by her late husband and still working away, it was made by Bendix UK, badged as a Fisholow which ws our Electricity Boards Shops own brand !!
