Pretty machine! Wasn't this machine (built-in version) one of the dishwashers used in the kitchen on Bewitched? I would love to see some shots of the interior and the racks when you can get around to it.

"Chopping Block Top"

Restoring that Beautiful Slab of Wood can be done by sanding the top with an Orbital Sander with a series of Sandpapers.

After you get it where you want, Tack Cloth it and then rub multiple saturations of Mineral Oil. Available at CVS.

Nice Dishmobile.

Looks almost exactly like my 1965 turquoise one. I've never tried to take mine apart, or even gotten a chance to use it yet, but I've heard some good things about them on here. Good catch!

no much luck

fashioned a makeshift drain hose for the DW filled her with 2 large stock pots of boiling water let it soak for a few mins plugged her in set it for light wash started to pump out pump keep running it never did stop any ideas guys about ready to scrap her, admit Im not the brightest bulb in the string but this has the best of me

question

I am not all that familiar with Frigidaire machines, but is it possible that the drain valve is stuck in the open position?

I hope you don't scrap the machine. It might be great to convert to a built in model and hopefully someone out there has replacement parts for this machine.

Hi Dynaflow,

where is the drain hose coming out? Through the top, or straight out the back?

I have the built in version of this one and stenciled on the back of the machine is a requirement to have a loop at least 24" above the ground.

If you get the hose down low, it starts with littls spurts coming out whilst it washes.

Sorry I missed your visit Dynaflow....

but maybe you will get back up this way sometime to see my turquoise sister to your Dishmobile. Please don't give up on it. With all the sweet, helpful and technically skilled people on here, your DW is bound to get some help and have a future. If it's of any help to keep you inspired, I posted the link to the thread from 11-16-09 when I got mine home. Lots of good info there from members who were cheering me on. Good luck with the unit and keep us posted as to it's progress.

If you press "cancel" on the timer, what happens?

I'm guessing your timer isn't working correctly... It might be easy to repair.
