How wonderful, I don't think I've seen pictures of his collection before. John if you read here, very nice! I esp. like the 1966 Duomatic. I love the control panel style of that time. I had not realized Duomatics were made that late.

WOW!! WHEE!!

John, those are just awesome!! The deep saturated colors on those control panels are just breathtaking. And so many classics to choose from. How do you make up your mind on what one to use next? I am very impressed! John, thanks for sharing, and Robert thanks for posting these wonderful pictures.

John, VERY IMPRESSIVE! GORGEOUS pink coin-op and '66 Duomatic! The 1938 Bendix and Easy combo are also too cool!
Fabulous collection!

That '66 Duomatic...

...looks like a combination washer/dryer/jukebox...all it needs is a disco ball!

Awesome equipment!

WOW!!!

The Bendix coin-op you have is just like the one the laundry had when I was young. What year was the Kenmore combo? and was it made by Whorlpool?. Thanks for the pictures.

Bendix Collection!!

I love the collection. I never seen the Easy combo before. I also remember the Bendix coin op. Was in several laundromats in the 60s and 70s. I realy love the 66 Bendix. I would love to see close ups of the console. It looks way ahead of it's time.
Best Of Luck with a Great collection.
Even though I am not a collector I am a combo person I have a LG 3677 combo.

John..

Stupendous Collection! I had no idea you had so many wonderful Bendii in the basement! Drool drool drool is all I can do.

From the cute little Standard to the 1966 Duomatic what a line up!

I was in NY all weekend picking up a very early Bendix Standard when I got home Robert phoned to tell me he had put up recent pix of your collection so I rushed to the computer and am glad I did!

Very enjoyable!

John what a beautiful collection. I really enjoyed seeing the 1956 Duomatic. I spent many hours on a little stool watching that machine! You have done such a great job of restoring them. Congratulations!! Terry

combo hookups

So I'm a little confused, I see unused valves above the Duomatic, how does it get it's water? And I DON'T see a big plug for the LK combo is it the probably fairly rare gas version? And notice the difference in size between the Duomatic and the LK!

OH MY!

I just love the pink coin op! I just can't get over it! I haven't seen anything that would come close to making me give up the hunt for the Frigidaire's except that! What a beautiful collection!!!!!

Wow, wow, wow! Okay, it's cool enough to have one Duomatic, but a whole collection?
[Pulls in tongue and wipes up drool]
How's about a closer shot of that '66 Philco control panel? That's like the most colorful c/p I've seen!
And what's that little switch on the left of the Combomatic? Looks like a coin return slide!

John ... I just love the look of the 1958 Duomatic. It is so "classic" of that era ... beautiful machine ... ALL beautiful machines!!

OMG

What an absolutely gorgeous collection of washers!

Those Bendix units from the 50's and 60's almost would make one put on stiletto high heels, a well starched and ironed shirt waist with crinolines and pearls just to do laundry.

Just for my own information, what became of Bendix washers and why were such beautiful units stopped production?
