Delightful thread. Somethings ELSE I never knew. I always thought that red button on Maytag wringers was the drain. No. Somehow, it's the agitate clutch. And that Maytag had a full auto with buttons and no knob. WHY?
Just gimme an Easy Spindry. I DO like the zen of laundry and nothing practical characterizes that like a good fullsize twintub. Wringers are called 'mangles' for a reason.

Love the 906s! If I ever had the time / money / space / spousal approval to own a vintage set, it would be those! I love the whole "Jetsons push-button future" vibe!
