What fun WHAT FUN to experience the wonders of Greg Nunn's collection and Robert Seeger's wizardry with the Unimatic 2.0's traveling road show!

I have never so much enjoyed a VCCC convention as I did this one that just ended yesterday and that, in large part, was due to the involvement of those of you in the Automatic Washer contingent who participated therein.

I really think that it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had, period!

Robert, your charm and dynamic knowledge of vintage laundry, computer programming and industrial metalwork, for that mater, is utterly mesmerizing.

Greg, your hospitality is world class as is your patience, grace and generosity in the face of the dreaded suds-lock, blown circuit breakers and impending floods.

Please accept my heartfelt thanks.

Yours,

Marty Kaplan

glad you all

had a terrific time and hoping everyone arrived home safely.

Robert and Greg are quite generous aren't they..

let me add my thanks....

To Greg for being a fantastic host, and for sharing your collection. I loved every minute, my faves are still the '58 Frigidaire Imperials.

To Robert: The Super-Unimatic 2.0 was amazing, I could have sat in that chair all night and watched it! Thanks for bring

To the VCCC board and prez: well done guys, this one was tops!

And finally to Michael, Fred, and Bobby: you three characters are something else. The fact that you didn't get kicked out of that Goodwill store in Lincoln just amazes me. Thanks for making this convention special, and for going on the journey to Seward with me. That was another life for me, and I am thrilled I could share it with you. All three of you bless and enrich my life more than I could ever find words for!

my say

-Greg, thanks again for the wash-in and the freebie Model 61, I love the scent of that Ariel still in my clothes and it's rather addicting. The food was awesome and that almond cake was near orgasmic

-Robert, that Super Uni was very interesting and a sight to see, you could use some more sound effects, perhaps the "Punchboard" harp or the "Plinko theme"

-to the VCCC people, you did a good job on getting this whole weekend all planned and executed. With all the wine and booze afloat I felt like a sorority gal at Les Bourgeois in Rocheport, only I couldn't get passed out drunk cause I had to drive back.
Some of you members were dolls and a lot of fun to be around.

And a big thanks to Michele Harris of Kansas City for loaning me her blue ribbon winning Celebrity canister that got back safely to her with all parts intact

Here's a pic of the fruits of my "estate saleing" from Omaha. Can't wait for August '08

VCCC Conventioneers Make Sensational Splash in Omaha!

Let me echo Marty's sentiments...

Thank you Morgan and the many other people who made this year's VCCC convention a sensational success.

Greg Nunn, thank you for opening your home to me before and after the convention. It was a blast!

Bravo Charlie Watrous, Morgan Frazer, Greg Nunn and Terry Lattz for planning such a spectacular weekend. Awesome job!

The Hoover clinic led by Fred S. and Charlie W. and the Lux clinic led by Mark T. and Glenn D. were superb. The wash-in event sponsored by Greg N. and Terry L. (with help from Robert S. and Andy W. with his Miele demos) was exceptional and great fun. I'm sorry to say that I missed the reception held by Mark G.; though, I've heard rave reviews from all club members who attended. And, the Miele presentation given by Duane T. and Andy W. was fun and informative. (I must admit I'm somewhat biased towards Mieles... LOL.) Fred N. and Robert, what can I say? You're integral to any club-related project (VCCC or Automatic Washer) with your tireless effort in providing forums through which we can all stay connected and informed.

I thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with the friends I made at Fred Nelson's home in Chicago a few months ago (you know who you are and you all have a very special place in my heart), getting to know many of you with whom I met telephonically or virtually through email, and meeting many new friends with whom I already feel a kindred bond.

I want to thank every attendee for welcoming me into this VCCC and Automatic Washer family with open arms and hearts. It was truly an amazing experience. The wonderful synergy at this convention was palpable. And, I'm sure everyone in attendance understands exactly what I mean. Whether old friends or new, it felt like coming home. It's as if I've known all of you for years. You are a very special group people. You're family. And, I feel extremely blessed to know each and every one of you.

Thanks for sharing the spirit of VCCC and Automatic Washer friendship and comaraderie with me.

Until we meet again.

All the best,

Mike
