great clip

I'd venture to guess that was one of the best clips to come from SNL in years. I miss Phil Hartman's work, not to mention the original cast.

(I have one of those blenders that's in the background too, but mine is plain white).
 
I thought it was a fairly polished production, for SNL.

They seemed to hit just about every stereotype flaw of 50's culture - alcohol/tobacco dependence, women/minorities/gays treated as second class citizens, bizarre recipes (beef/marshmallow jello, shrimp in a hollowed out pineapple), and of course, the instructional film cliche itself.
