Once again just so you guy's don't think that I'm full of crap...
The room is close to being done. If I could just get off my lazy butt and finish it. ( no comments Veg!)
A little history on this sink. My sweet mother drove to CT to pick it up.The faucet had to be replaced, the other one wasn't the right style. After I removed the old one we discovered that the holes in the sink were to small for the assembly on the new faucet. That meant we had to route them out. (Which did suck!) Then we had to special order a new hootie ring, which of course wasn't quite big enough. Soo, more routing around the edges.
Finally it's hooked up and running!
When it's totally complete I'll post pictures of the room.

I watched a special last week on HGTV about the 2007 Home Furniture Show and they said blue will be big for the next few years. All shades of blue, including Turquoise!
That is a very nice installation. A very modern sink with a very vintage color! I know you will enjoy it!

Hey Girl!!

I am so glad to see you post again!! We've missed you around here!!

What a terrific sink! Is it vintage? Ok, enquiring minds want to know...what's the little bowl thingy in the middle for?

I know, at one time, that you were redoing your kitchen and your garage. Which room is this going to be in? Sorry I'm so nosy, but heck...it's been forever since we've heard from you!!

Take care -
V.

We know you are!

Beautiful sink, honey. How come there's no trim around the counter?

Ducking and running...

Say yay for Turquoise!!!!

What a great sink! I love that color.

I agree with Venus, it's great to see you posting again.

Is the center bowl thingy for the disposer?

Mike

The sink is dated 58 or 59 I can't remember. And very very heavy! I had to crawl in the cabinet and hold up with my feet to lower it down. Made me sweat alittle. LOL

Venus: The center bowl is sometimes called a salad sink and that's where the disposal is at.
That is in the garage, (well was a garage)everything in that kitchen is GE and Turquoise, with some splashes of yellow. The main kitchen is modern w/stainless steel. The one in the basement is Frigidaire and Pank. All of the vintage app. are 56 and 57.
I miss you guy's too.

Jeff: The disposal is a GE. Nothing fancy!

Veg: Shut it!

You can't see it but, there is this cool little button that I found a Menards. It's runs on air and is mounted into the cabinet top. Push it and *poof* the disposal turns on, and it's chrome too. It's right behind the goose neck. Hopefully it doesn't fail but, I couldn't resist it.

Wow!

What a beautiful sink! Turquoise is by far my favorite appliance color. Your sink would match my '67 Frigidaire refrigerator . . . I am soooo jealous and so glad that you went to such trouble to save it!

Looks great Beth Ann! Can't wait to see it all done someday.

Hey! You all done doing the drive by thing now? <:

What a great sink, Bethann! I am also a fan of turquoise; for me, it never goes out of style, regardless of what's in the pages of kitchen design magazines. Congrats, and am looking forward to more pics as you complete your big, big project.

BTW, made any great cakes, lately? I still chuckle when I think about The Original Cake Posts. And I agree with Venus---great to see you back and posting, again!

Ohhh Bethann I love your new sink and I am very jealous of your center disposer bowl, I just love that!

We have a turquoise porcelain on cast-iron kitchen sink as well, I found it up North in a junk yard covered in dirt, when I wiped away the dirt I saw how it shined and realized it had never been installed. $15 dollars got us this wonderful 1958 sink. We had to special order the sink "hootie" ring as well. I bet you and I have the only turquoise sinks on our respective blocks LOL.
