Love the sink Bethann!! That little salad sink is such a neat idea and very handy I am sure. Thanks for sharing.

What does the Pillsbury Dough Boy do? Is he a sprayer, and if so, does the water shoot out of his mouth or his eyes, LOL?
Nope, he's just a liquid hand soap dispenser, although it would be fun to rig him up to be a faucet!

Is that actually a late '50s bottle of Joy I spy there?
Actually it's a 1953-1954 bottle of Joy. Back when they came in a glass bottle inside a cardboard box.

Zowie. All I remember from that period is Ivory Flakes or Lux Flakes (both my grandmothers) or Trend (my mom). Trend was a liquid, and it came in a metal can with a plastic screw lid, something like a brake fluid can before THOSE went plastic.

Evidently, I wasn't moving in the right circles to be around something as highfalutin' as Joy, LOL.

Sandy, I believe Joy was first introduced by Procter and Gamble in 1953. Here is a commercial for Joy from a 1953 Search For Tomorrow episode. Just for fun I film it on my 1948 Admiral television which I restored about five years ago, I love this bakelite set...
