Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

I have only had GE, Frigidaire and Westinghouse electric ranges in addition to the daily driver Amana with the micro-thermal oven. The ovens in all have been great. I hope this is your forever range at long last. Somebody said that she approached marriage as a trial and error process.  You certainly have had enough of that in your search for your best range and I hope that you are able to settle into a warm relationship at the end of your long search.

Hans absolutely beautiful.  Those knobs have a special place in my heart.  My "other mother" was our neighbor in both neighborhoods and they bought the house across the street before we bought our.  She had a 30" wall oven and probably 42" cooktop with those knobs in her late 1960/early 1961 sea foam green Westinghouse kitchen.  She had a Chambers range at her old house and was extremely particular if she was going to end up with an electric kitchen.  She said the Westinghouse was th3e only one with the true variable burner heat at the time and the Corox burners were the best.  She was a major cook and that cooktop saw heavy use.  I think she held onto it until  her son could no longer keep it going.  The house was a Gold Medallion house (complete with new-fangled heat pump) but there was still gas for the two outside gas lights as well as dryer and fireplace.  Looks like she ended up having to replace it with a he gas cooktop in the early 2000s.  The 30" Westinghouse oven resided there for years and was augmented with a 30" Whirlpool until the GEs seen in the photos.  The Westinghouse WashWell with heat booster dishwasher was replaced with a KDS16 soon after the 16 series was introduced.  She also had the matching washer to today's '58 dryer that's today's POD.  Attached is a picture from the June 2013 real estate listing with the very same KDS16--which is the very dishwasher that caused my intense dislike for KAs.   Can y'all see me in that kitchen at age 7 to almost 30?

Dislike for a Kitchen Aid!!!

Well, I hate Maytag washers so I cant say much, I like that kitchen, it could easily be put back original, I wouldn't trade one of those one arm wonders for any new dw made today.LOL

That's a sharp-looking range, Hans; congratulations!  The pumpkin pie looks delicious, as well.

Aside:  Tell us about what I'm assuming is a pink hand-held mixer hanging on the wall near the range.  I thought it was a wall phone at first glance.

Hans, there's not in the photos of that kitchen that wasn't still original in 2013.  All it would take was to bring back the cooktop, wall oven, color-matching sink, and Nutone vent.  The main light is a replacement--the original was just like what's over the kitchen sink.  The disposer was also Westinghouse.  Most of the wall switches were still original--the little switch pads glowed in the dark (also at our house).  The lights over the bar were the same ones that were in both our bathrooms as well as over our wet bar.  The finish on the cabinets is original as well as the formica.  From what I understand a builder bought the house--it had 4-bedrooms.  I'm sure he gutted a lot of it.  I was able to save all the photos from the real estate listing.  I wish I had done the same with my parents' listing from 2002, but I was so torn up I couldn't deal with it.
