Cutting yourself on mandoline

Wayupnorth, you need a cut proof glove. Mine came as a set of 2, though you only need one on the hand you're holding the veggie with. I got them from Amazon. They're inexpensive & really work!

she's here

arrived in the mail today, going to fix pork ribs for dinner,I had some russet potatoes so i decided to slice them up to fry, OMG this machine is awesome sliced my potatoes in no time. Tomorrow going to try all kinds of veggies to make a salad. Stayed tuned. Mike

Cool thing!

I am glad it's working out for you! Is it noisy? My Cuisinart DLC and my KitchenAid 750 processors are very quiet, something I LIKE in a counter top appliance.

Where did you order it from? Can the detachable parts go into the dishwasher?

the lateist thing I have done is grated cheese, done in less than a minute. From the owners manual they recommend that you hand wash the items which is ok. The appliance was sold on QVC in 2008. I bought if off fleabay for $20.00 plus shipping it is the best appliance I have bought in a long time. and it is not really that noisy. Mike
