A Peak into my Final Rinse

What a great idea!

I've never seen this before, how fun! Since manufacturers are moving away from all forms of powdered laundry & household products, there is no hope of it coming back again - but if it did, I would love it! Perhaps with the price of oil going through the roof, consumers will see the light and demand products that don't involve shipping the weight of the water the products are suspended in - we can only hope!

How ingenious...powdered softener, who would have thought! Does it have a pleasant scent to it?

I would take these convenient packets over a large bottle of Downy any day, especially since it's a 24-load supply in the box!

Robert,
You were having a blast! That is so cool.
What year was "NuSoft" from? I love the name.
What did the outcome smell like?
Thanks for the pictures.

Wow! How ingenious. Seems that convenience was also a big seller even back then (though manufactureres always like us to believe that convenience is a modern invention!).

The pre-measured dosing kind of reminds me of the Comfort Pearls available over here, which are little liquid sachets of fabric softener which you toss into the drum at the start of the wash - although if you ask me the Comfort Pearls are no good as it is all rinsed out by the time the cycle has finished!

Thanks! so much for the rinse (drinkable water) pics. They are great. I always want my rinses to come out so clear. It is a toss up between fabric softner and the kind of detergent. Will I ever get it right? I doubt it at 44yo.

Steve

I bet they smell nice and fresh too! Now if I could only find some vintage bottles of the original Downey april fresh. The scent they use today just isn't the same.
