Question for Greg

What kind of detergent did ya'll use?

Looks like you all had a ton of fun and things to eat.

Greg does make good popcorn too! LOL

Happy New Year to everyone.

I thought that the WH dw had a metal impeller, or is that a different machine or has the aluminum impeller darkened with use? Someone is wasting a lot of something in that mixer bowl in the KA--starving children, etc. Was the beautiful white icing a fondant type or just an uncooked powder sugar glaze at perfect consistency?

Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland

Never saw the uni's outer tub filled to the max with suds--did she lock or knock 'em all away.

So what went in the baked blind pie shells, chocolate cream, lemon meringue, or both?

Thanks for sharing visions of sugar plums dancing in my head.

It was wonderful.

It is aluminum Tom, its just the way the picture came out, makes it look darker than it really is.

Carol we used Cascade 2-1 Action Packs

Since the recirculation occasionally fills the entire cabinet with suds I programmed the software so the computer senses the extra amperage draw and pauses the washer a few minutes to let the suds sink down a little bit before rev'ing up to 1140rpm.

I made a White Christmas Pie and a Chocolate Chiffon Pie.

Farberware:

"Actually it's Farberware, I love my Farberware!"

You're right, Robert- of all the vintage cookwares out there, aluminium-clad Farberware (made here in the good old U.S. of A.) is the best. I have about thirty pieces of it, and it's a great performer. The new "Farberware Classic" cookware that looks like the old stuff isn't bad, but it's not quite the same (plus the sizes are not the same).

Look out with that fudge- after a certain point in life, your metabolism is not your friend. I think you're still a little ways from that, though! ;-)
