Are we gonna have some video proof of that? *Hint hint*

Actually, I thought of that since I've always wondered what made the Roto move. Maybe in a day or three, I'll shoot some video. OR, I could always stuff you inside, Dan, and you could yell loudly how it does... LOL!!!

Peter

I could be off on this, but I think the Mod # is somewhat like the
Km washing machines of that era, ie 587. "71" 360 suggests that it was either
manufactured in 1971 , or at least intended to be available for that years
offering.

Short Wash vs. Light Wash

Peter, I've seen something similar on a couple of other D&M dishwashers of this era.  If you will notice, there is no Rinse & Hold.  One of those cycles doesn't include a heated dry and the other one does.  It's like one cycle does the sequence WRR.  The otherr one does the typical "light wash" of RWRR dry.

Magic Carpet Drew ...

You always find such beautiful machines Drew !

Great find !

It's just as good as Kevin's find last year with the Kenmore he found mint.

Paul your eye's are burning lol.

Someone must have taken good care of it, or didn't use it much. NICE! If you were closer, I would love to give her a new home.

This looks very similar to a dishwasher my parents had lying around, left by some previous occupant of our house. I can only remember one time it was ever used. My mother didn't like dishwashers because "they break dishes."

I can't say the one pictured here is 100% the same, but, if not, it's very close. My immediate reaction opening this thread was, "I've seen that one before!"

I can barely remember reading the manual for ours. It seems to me that the manual covered 4 portable dishwashers. Ours was the second from the top, only bettered by the Lady Kenmore. I can't remember what differences there were. It seems to me the LK had no exposed timer dial. At least one of the lower models lost the Roto Rack.

Neat find

"What makes the Roto move"
The angled jets on the douche nozzle sticking out of the back of the tank cause the rack to turn.

Is the top with the embossed design rich Corinthian leather? or Naugahide? or Pleather?

I would rather have it as my only dishwasher than any brand new machine I know of. What a sad state of affairs.

Old piece of junk dishwasher' that they were thinking of

reel and caster."

Too bad someone doesn't want THEM for their tongues and thumbs.

Another ride on the Magic Carpet Drew to the Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow--and what a trip it was today!

The Uni-coupler look as though it may never have been connected.
