WOW!! Rare to see a grand hoard like this! Yes, this person is missing out by not being a member here....

Kevin -

Everyone keeps saying this, but the washer karma must be in full swing! I spent this past Saturday with a fellow Charlottean whom I met here at AW. We went up to Wytheville, VA to spend the day with the gracious guys of Lightedcontrols, and my friend from Roanoke. We wrapped up the day in Roanoke. Between my washers and those in VA, I must have laid eyes on 150 to 200 washers in one day. In Wytheville I was treated to views of dozens of beautiful Maytags like yours, then got to see one that Robert just brought back to life. I LIKE THESE MACHINES!!! (Uh oh!!!)

That yellow Maytag in your pics is beautiful. My gosh.

What a GREAT post Kevin!

Siezed, shmeezed!

So, what you're saying is that the little yellow one needs some special love. I love a challenge (dealing with the factory not withstanding). That wouldn't be the first or last siezed Maytag I'll ever beat into submission. HOWEVER, I'll bet he knows what he's got and will want premium prices.

Paul, that set may be your color, but the timers probably still work. Definately out of your league! LOL!

Gordon..

Talked to Mark on Friday and he said you guys were coming, he wanted me to come and meet you all and I really wish I could have. Mark is such a great guy, wonderful host, and all those washers!!! Did you bring anything home? He sold me my 1-18 set and has more stuff up there for me. Since we live so close it would be nice to meet sometime.

Ooooh... SLAP!

Wow Paul, RCD hit you HARD! Ouch! LOL

Ben: Thank for the info on that pink 640C dryer! It is pretty spectacular!

Andrew (and others): I will inquire about the yellow Maytag and see if he would consider letting it go...

Here are photos a couple more machines, I ran out of time this morning and couldn't post them until now.

I actually hesitated even posting these photos because I am considering this Lady K dryer (220V) for myself. As you can see it's just in spectacular condition!

Why is all the good stuff so darn far away! I like the two Whirlpools, and the harvest gold Maytags, and the rocker switch Kenmore.

Wow, this is something to behold. Lots of classics all in one place, and my favorite brands too. You really did have a great weekend.

Have a good one,
James

Oh my god! The avocado green Whirlpool towards the top of the page was like the one my Mom used to have. The only difference was her's had the push button water tempurature control and the timer dial colors were reversed. Silver background with black letters. Wow that brought back some memories! Pretty cool find!

Wow I should have finished looking before posting lol. My Grandma had a 1971 Lady Kenmore set. She still has the dryer, the washer died on her years ago. Her's had a dial knob though, I noticed this one doesn't have that. But the rocker switches are the same. Her's was white. How cool!

i just, um,

well, gonna have to change my pants. Guess there are now three things that get me off, not just chocolate and that *other* thing.

Lord's above, that is truly beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing, Kevin!

I lust after the Maytags in Turquoise and that dryer in PANK.

Lust.
