Had dinner tonight with family. I brought up this topic. One person suggested it was a quilting iron.
I agree this appears to be a European plug. No other markings on the unit other than the brand and other (presumed) markings as described earlier.
Probably I should run it on a variac. If it gets rather hot, it is probably not a toy iron.
Would love to find similar 1/3 scale appliances such as a 1982 Kenmore washer and dryer set, 1994 Electrolux Ultralux canister, and the smallest capacity GE side by side that GE ever made in the 70s, preferably in harvest gold.
The first is a Utility Iron. 115V 80W
Not a child's toy, it gets quite hot enough with which to iron.
The second is a Zoeller Travel Iron, found at an estate sale.

I’ve got a few more goofy irons on display in the laundry room. However this one is so small it’ll disappear on the shelf. Horrors! The things I have to worry about…
