About That Bendix Ironer From A NJ Estate Sale

There is allot of good and rare stuff in this auction.
Were the things mine, I'd have perhaps broken up the set a bit.
For instance that NIB roller cover/padding is very rare indeed. Ditto for the service manual.
As for the price, you never know about ironers. Some sell for vast sums, others cannot be given away for love nor money.
Bendix ironers ranked up there with the "big boys" in terms of space requirements and heft. They surely weren't designed for apartment living that is for sure. Well not unless your counting Park Avenue or Central Park West "prew-war" style type apartments that is.
While Bendix choose to use the under shoe ironer plate a la Ironrite, it is supported on one end so how useful both ends are I don't know.
