Here I am sitting at my desk just yards away from my apartment and the weather is awesome.the tradewinds have been excelerating and keeping the temp down around 85F.But the cooler nights with a soft ,constant breeze has turned my bad sleeping episodes to those of non stop, full 8 to 10 hour non-interupted ones!I am awakened around 6AM by the crowing of a cock!I usualy go to bed around 9PM.Football here is intense.Everybody here watches it sun up to sundown. There is a theatre here where there is a 9 foot screan. That's in our "Jewels Room".there we have a Maytag dual oven(Gemini)gas range and a Conserv refrigerator. Both in black.I watched the game saturday with the Baltimore ravens against the Dalas Cowboys. the Ravens(from my home town,Baltimore clobbered the Cowboys and I won a bet we play daily. I actualy won with a score of twelve of sixteen I could have won.We just got a "Premier' gas "professional"range in stainless steel. It is a very basic model but retails here for over $1000!!!!!.I am glad the gas range in my kitchen here is a GE slide in with self-cleaning oven!!!It is black and I also have a Conserv refrigerator. One of the local folks came today for some gas. As I was pumping his tank,he saw my maytag(A206)washer i just restored and asked if we would want his old one.As I enquired more about it,his discription was one making me think of an old Easy spinner.however, after I asked some open ended questions,he explained it was a single tub but you had to raise it to spin and lower it to agitate. Any ideas here on what this soon to be here in my hands washer may be????I thinking it may be an Easy counter top model or maybe a Blackstone automatic from the 40's or 50's.????????We shal soon find out.Probably after Xmas.Aloha!

HUMOROUSLY:
(See other post aobut 0*F here in NYC this morning).

~I am awakened around 6AM by the crowing of a cock!
Of F you! LOL. I was awakened at 4:00 this morning by my 60*F bedroom that has no heat. I had to pee. That means leaving the warm bed, damn it.

Just as I was dozing off the steam radiator stated hissing. YAY! later, fast asleep now: the plow comes through; shook entire building. Ice crunching and cracking. it's now 4:45am. Turn over. Start dozing again. Cars skidding, honking. Damn neighbors start their snow-throwers ice-choppers and clean up at 6:00 am. GD it! Long Island Rail Road starts running up to commuter schedule. Again building shakes. Why exactly am I living in this area again?

So enjoy your 85*F f---ing trade winds. LOL !!!!
I AM SO ENVIOUS!

Hey,toggleswitch, There isn't any type of heater, furnace or A/C unit here! it is now 3:45PM and there are some clowds being moved across here by the tradewinds. The 3PM temperature is 77!!I took my lunch break @ 1pm and stripped down to get in my jacuzzi to releave my stressful day---LOL!All I have been doing is filling gas tanks(propane)and by 5 today,we'll be empty. There is a truck ariving at 6PM to refill our 2500 gallon tank. However,we'll be closed thusday and friday for Christmas.Tonite,we're having another luaw and I already have 2 cases of Beck's Beer! Some of the islanders bring them to us for our comunity support.Today, I made over $125.Yesterday,over $300 in commision. My rent, water and power are included in this sweet deal and I got a nice flat screan TV along with satalite dish too. I can get in my tub on my deck and watch TV as I look out into the horizon with nothing but ocean to see!!!What a terrible thing to ever happen to anybody----NOT!! LOL Please, everyone here, feel free to come and stay here. there are even nicer (pods)then mine for rent(of course you pay the air fair,I'll pay the rent for your stay!)I hope you ain't sceered!of the woods!!

What island are you on?

Hi Chuck... I believe I saw another post a week or two ago saying you had moved to Hawaii or you are there for a while on a job or something. So.... if you are going to be there for a while may I suggest you change your profile location from Houston, TX? Hey, since you are in Hawaii, flaunt it!!! LOL

What island are you on and do you plan to visit the other islands?

Yes, Hawaii is very beautiful and tropical (of course). I visited 4 times in 5 years early on in my relationship, and I'm pretty sure my favorite island is Maui. If you have the chance, go watch the sunrise from top of Haleakala. But dress WARM... it's VERY cold up there at O-dark:30 while waiting for the sun come up!

I'm not sure if I could live in Hawaii though... I think I would get "island fever".... but I guess I won't know until I try it! LOL

I have always felt I was an island. Most continants I've seen are islands, just a whole lot bigger! The seclusion inside a tropical forest is so private and so peaceful that you enjoy the time spent at work as well as pleasure that seams to continue to amaze me.I got my bike back together and plan on going exploring friday. We'll be closed thursday and friday for something or another.

No not needed. You see if your cock is big,it crows all day and night without missing a beat.If your cock is small,it only crows in the morning. The cocks here are huge they never stop crowing. We sometimes have cockfights here. They fight to the finish!

Don't recall which Hawaiian island was recetly blacked-out was it yours? :-)

Did you bump into Obama who was on vacation and was affected?

If it was moi I would take that crow and choke the living crap out it...but thats me. Sounds to me that you are in paradise. Maybe if you took that crow in hand and choke it and make it spit then it wont crow again for awhile.....
