amana deep freezer

My friend has a non-working one on his farm. These are definitely big. I would love to have this one that Eric posted but I'm too far away. Amana did not change their style very much from the 1930s to the 1950s - they all look similar except for subtle differences.

Did you get the old Amana freezer out of the basement?

I know this thread is really old BUT I was wondering if you took the freezer home and if so what you have learned about it. I have the same freezer and am needing information on getting a compressor for it! Cant wait to hear what you have to say. Thanks!!
