That's likely got some wood framing and some cork type insulation. That's really cool. I am glad it's not in my area or my friends would be mad.

Amana Freezer

Models I have seen that are similar had fiberglass bats. Does anyone know how old this is?

I often wonder if men were stronger in the 1930's-1950's. I mean, someone moved it there, it ought to be able to get removed.

No guts, no really cool vintage appliances!

Eric,

Please save the freezer. You're young and your back is strong. I am rooting for ya. It will make the Radarange seem easy.

Old Upright Freezer

It will likely have some sort of fiberglass insulation, if you are going to move this freezer remove the door and door strike and it should come through fine unless someone put in smaller doors.

It is very cool and these early freezers do not use as much power as the ones that came later in the 1960s-the 1970s, but if it does not work it might be difficult to fix, many older Amana freezers used R-22 instead of the usual R-12 that almost all refs and freezers used, if it is an R-22 machine and you need a new compressor R-22 compressors are hard to find for residential refrigeration.
