went thrifting....like I need more stuff.....been there done that, all too often....lol

found this mixer setup, still sealed in the box, not sure of the age, by IONA - a unit of General Signal Corp - who ever purchased it, got it at j.m.Fields for 14.99.....I paid the same....read thru the book, but for some reason the book states either the bowl size selection is a lever or the turntable fits into 2 slots, both ideas missing, the beaters stay centered the whole time, or it can be used as a portable, 4 very powerful speeds......

any ideas of age?

That Iona mixer is very interesting. I came across Iona blender a few years ago. The turntable for the bowls does not lift up or is moveable? Hmmmmm...not sure. It's a beauty, however.

Isn't that Proctor Silex perculator wonderful?? I love the way it lights up - I put it on the table when dinner is served and by the end of the meal the coffee is ready. People can't take their eyes off of it - I call it "dinner and a show!"

Congrats on the wonderful finds!

Thats what I find unusual about it....the turntable comes off....but theres only one port underneath, the booklet shows 2 if this model had it, or a sliding lever.....if it wasn't a sealed box, I would have said its the wrong style, there should be a name badge on the RH side, and the speeds should be a turn knob....this one has a thumb/flip speed control.......some things may vary model to model, but that the beaters stay in the middle of both bowls is whats odd, and they are about 1/8th inch raised up off the bottom of the bowls........so I figure, the stand is for storing/looks, and I will just use it as a handheld......

I have about 5 diferent styles of those coffee makers, love everyone of them, 2 have the lights.......they do need to bring stuff like this back......of course you could wrap flashing xmas lights around a can opener and I would buy it....LOL
