That GE pair is absolute TOL from when GE introduced their 'white-on-white' products. The washer is loaded with options and the dryer has the electronic sensor. A great pair for someone looking for a pair of Filter Flo's.
Because we have all seen GE advertised as Maytag and Kenmore advertised as KitchenAid etc...
I have a friend that bought a new work truck. I asked him "What Kind of Van did you buy ?" He replied "A White One". I asked "What Brand ?" he said "White".
Eddie, I know what you mean. That unusual control placement reminds me of mid-60s Kelvinator ranges where, in more deluxe versions featured in advertising, they were in a slanted panel at the back between the two rear surface units.
I couldn't figure it out. I was thinking someone here would know. I cant remember when the last time a saw a Maytag touch pad stacker washer. I'm really thinking about that GE set lol
Eddie..posters can't put brand names down because they can't read...just yesterday on another forum someone refered to their old TL washer..I ask what brand they were and the reply was something about a mismatched pair almond and white. Cheryl

I had to smack him."
LOL
Amongst all the facts that people have to keep track of, most people only know that a washer is where you put clothes to clean them. That is the extent of it.
Everyone has their specialty, that which they know a lot about. It is frustrating when you realize everyone doesn't know what you know. Take it as a compliment, but remember, there are things you don't know so much about that others are experts on.
But yeah, how many times have I come across an ad and there is no pic, no brand, no model #. Those are the questions one ends up asking them.
All they know is they want the old one gone, so they can bring in the "new" crap and all their problems will be solved.
